And Can It Be

I love hymns. Well, good ones, anyway. I love the music, and I love the rich theology and prayers contained in them. One of my favorites is, having to do with the theology of Salvation and Grace, is And Can It Be. (UMH 363) http://www.hymnary.org/hymn/UMH/363

Such powerful words here! Because Jesus emptied Himself of all but love, we dread no condemnation, and can approach the throne of Grace boldy. His Grace is so free, and so infinite, that even the angels cannot understand its depths. Truly, 'tis mercy all.
